Incoming & Prospective Students
Welcome to Columbia! As you explore Columbia and your college, we at the Newman Center would like to help your transition be as smooth as possible. Please contact us so that we may answer any questions you have and send you information about Catholic life for college students in Columbia!
Incoming Freshman and Transfer Students
Are you a new college student in Columbia? Register online before you arrive on campus! All students who register online before Welcome Week will get to SKIP THE LINE in the fall! Registering with the Newman Center allows you to learn more about activities and events at Newman. We will sign you up for our weekly email newsletter and contact you with any information that you requested on the registration form. Also, having a better picture of the Catholic population on campus helps us to better ask for and allocate resources. As a student, you can register with Newman and still retain your status with your home parish. Click here to register now!
On the “Serve and Be Served” page, please select as many options that interest you – from retreats to service to small groups. You’ll be contacted with more information by each program at which point you can decide whether or not you’d like to participate. We ask for parent contact information for two reasons. One, in the event of an emergency, this information is vital. Secondly, we send out bi-annual newsletters to parents to let them know about the Newman Center. This is particularly requested by parents who are alumni! Click here to register now! If you have any questions, you are always welcome to email Campus Ministry at email@example.com or call the main office at 573-449-5424.
Visiting Mizzou, Columbia College, or Stephens College? We would love to show you around the Newman Center as well! The main office is generally open from 8am-noon and 12:30-4:30pm (though the Campus Ministry Team may hold different hours based on upcoming events). You may stop by any time or, to schedule a visit, contact Campus Ministry by calling 573-449-5424 or emailing at firstname.lastname@example.org.
