Campus Involvement

Newman Week

Newman Week is an annual philanthropy event to raise money for a worthy charity while getting our name out on campus and building our parish community.   It includes a musical directed by our students, the Newman Speaker’s Series, campus competition, the kids’ carnival, the Fire & Ice semi-formal and lots more.  In 2012, over $5,000 was raised for the Buddy Packs Program through the Central Missouri Food Bank.

Homecoming

The Catholic Student Association Loves Mizzou and competes each year to show our spirit and participate in the life of our beloved school.  In 2012, our participation included Service, Decorate the District, and Banner Competition.

Interfaith Activities

Students are committed to reaching out in a spirit of respect to people of faith in our community.  Highlights from past years included dialogue with the local Jewish community, Congregation Beth Shalom, our annual Reformation Day softball game against the Lutheran Student Organization, and Pray Without Ceasing, a campus-wide prayer week.
